It can be anything you want - good or bad - but it has to be fake.

| Jul. 31st, 2008 04:05 pm How Dare They! Someone is going to pay dearly! I have been assaulted and attacked! How dare they! I broke nearly every glass thing in the house I could find after I opened their wretched letter! My primal scream of terror was heard through out Capital Hill. Why would they do this to me? Haven't I been a good person... most of the time?

| Jun. 16th, 2008 02:39 pm Bad Funk I had a great weekend! A nice meal out with Jason C. at a little Mexican place not far from where he lives and then he turned me on to the Brother Cadfael Mysteries which I really have been enjoying. On Saturday night I had Jason C. and my new friends Misty and Jason S. over for coffee and a movie night. We watched Gosford Park which is one of my favorite Altman films. (My other two favorites are Nashville and Three Women, if you haven't seen them and you like Altman go rent them now!)On our way to coffee we stopped off at Cal Anderson Park where the annual Bat-n-Rouge charity event was happening. It is an annual softball event where they have the Dykes play against the Drag Queens. It's very entertaining. A little low brow compared to the rest of our evening but entertaining none the less.
Sunday was a nice day up until about 6p.m. I had some friends over for game planning which was lovely and we all got to geek out for a couple of hours, which I always enjoy. After everyone left I decided it was time to do the phone call to dad on fathers day. We had a decent, short conversation and then he rather unexpectedly pawned the phone call off to my sister Andrea. (Andrea and I are very close and we are the closest in age of all my siblings.) We chatted for a few moments and I knew something was wrong because she wasn't her usual self. So she proceeded to inform me that last Thursday she was diagnosed with MS (Multiple Sclerosis). Definately not what I was expecting to hear, and unfortunately topped off my weekend with very sad news. She's going to see her physician again soon to find out states and type. It's an ugly disease though and for a woman who is very active and a new Grandma she's not in the best of shape right now. I'm thinking a trip to Spokane is in my near future or perhaps I'll attempt to get her to come here. We shall see. 4 comments - Leave a comment

| May. 12th, 2008 04:43 pm So, I have my first parental visit over with. I was really pleased to get this out of the way as it can be stressful at time. My brother was with them, and they came through town on their way to visit my nephew who lives in Port Orchard.
I am really enjoying my job. My boss is great. She loves me even though she now knows I don't listen and I just do everything my way, I think we have a good understanding now. I can't believe it but my 90 day probation period was over on May 4, 2008. I've been here for three months now! Sometimes it seems so much longer but other times it seems like it has all happened in just a couple of weeks. Time has been moving so fast my head is spinning and I'm nearly dizzy! 3 comments - Leave a comment

| Apr. 19th, 2008 01:47 am Can't sleep so I'm going to write in my live journal which I have not done in a very long time. Since my last entry I have quit my job at St. Peters and now work for Seattle Counseling Services. I moved to Seattle and now live on Capital Hill. I love my new job! Its great and I really like my boss and coworkers. The patients are still patients no matter where you work. My move is completely over, and while I have every thing up here I still haven't packed everything. I have soooooooo many books and I need to purchase space conserving multi-shelf book cases to put them in. I plan to go furniture shopping very soon. Even though I've moved the boxes out of my way I don't really like seeing them around.
I have found that I could comfortably host 3 people besides myself and if I push it I could host 5 if we were willing to compromise the comfort level a bit. These are good numbers and I look forward to having my place in order so I can start entertaining people, which I have always enjoyed doing.
This weekend is full of activity. Saturday morning I'm going to buy a new computer (I HATE VISTA) I've decided that I'm going to switch over to the Mac. I'll still have my evil PC on which I will play Guild Wars but it will be used for little else. Then I will be doing some laundry and cleaning. Later in the evening I'm going out to dinner with my friends Jason, Jen, Tarisse, Michelle, Jeff and Molly to partake in the St. George Feast at a medieval recreationist eatery, called the Boars Head. We went at Christmas time and had a great time. Sunday morning I'm having brunch with my friend Patrick and in the evening I'm going out to dinner with my friend Gina. Now that I live in Seattle I have little time in my schedule but I'm have a blast!
I'm also looking forward to this next weekend as I have tickets to see 'The Diary of Ann Frank' with the Running Deers, which I'm certain will be accompanied by a great meal and even better company. 1 comment - Leave a comment

| Dec. 19th, 2007 04:37 pm You Are A:
Chaotic Good Human Bard (6th Level)
Ability Scores: Strength- 12 Dexterity- 13 Constitution- 12 Intelligence- 18 Wisdom- 16 Charisma- 17
Alignment: Chaotic Good- A chaotic good character acts as his conscience directs him with little regard for what others expect of him. He makes his own way, but he's kind and benevolent. He believes in goodness and right but has little use for laws and regulations. He hates it when people try to intimidate others and tell them what to do. He follows his own moral compass, which, although good, may not agree with that of society. Chaotic good is the best alignment you can be because it combines a good heart with a free spirit. However, chaotic good can be a dangerous alignment because it disrupts the order of society and punishes those who do well for themselves.
Race: Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.
Class: Bards- Bards often serve as negotiators, messengers, scouts, and spies. They love to accompany heroes (and villains) to witness heroic (or villainous) deeds firsthand, since a bard who can tell a story from personal experience earns renown among his fellows. A bard casts arcane spells without any advance preparation, much like a sorcerer. Bards also share some specialized skills with rogues, and their knowledge of item lore is nearly unmatched. A high Charisma score allows a bard to cast high-level spells. 1 comment - Leave a comment

| Nov. 28th, 2006 10:33 pm Catch Up Day At Work Today was great at work. I was able to get a lot of catch up work done. Yesterday was insane as all the homeless people were trying to get in but by noon our inpatient unit was full and we had to refer to other centers in Tacoma and Seattle. After that it was smooth sailing. Only about half of my appointments are able to make it in so I am doing tons of updating, report work and discharge summaries. Stress levels at work have declined at least for the next day or two as this icy weather isn't supposed to let up until Thursday or so.
Working diligently on Aureus and related e-mail. I think I'm going to take the rest of this evening off though and catch up on my Netflix which I have had for nearly a week now without even opening them. I got 'Dog Day Afternoon' which is one of my favorites but I haven't watched it in years. I love Al Pacino. Current Location: Home Current Mood: chipper Current Music: Annie Lennox

| Nov. 11th, 2006 03:10 pm X-box 360 I recently purchased the X-box 360 which was an interesting and unorthodox move for me. I have never been much of a computer gamer and don't play games all that often (non-rpg anyway), but call it impulse or a feeble attempt to be trendy or something, I purchased the infernal device anyway.
The system came with some horrid racing game I will likely never play so I knew that I would need to purchase a game right away that I would enjoy. I purchased a game called "Deadrising." It is so much fun I can hardly stand it!
Those of you who are afraid that I'll become an addict, don't worry, I can't stand to play a game like this for more than an hour before I have to quit for a while.
This game (Deadrising) has zombies everywhere (except the bathroom, but they'll follow you in.) I play it after work and I am finding it rather cathartic! Last night when I got home I ran a bunch of zombies over with a lawn mower it was beautiful! All the carnage and mayhem, all is right with the world. I have spiritually attuned myself once more.
